Thinking about LAN Parties ::

I remember having such a blast at these LAN Parties, and the time has come to do it again. Yes. It's been 6 years!! I can hardly believe it myself.. So, do you guys remember us? Dan and Chris, AKA, WrAth and h00tenanny?! It was great to meet all of you. And who could forget such a fun weekend of fragging on the LAN? With our competitive tournaments, quality prizes, swimming and jacoozi down the hall, and just a great croud of gamers all packed into one room for intense gaming action, why wouldn't you want to come back again for more?

For all of you who are new to U.E.G. or this is your first time at a LAN Party, our events are held in a luxurious hotel conference room with a maximum of 25 computers on the network. The door opens June 20th 2008 on Friday afternoon and after everyone is set up on the network, the gaming continues until Sunday. Tournaments for the most popular games and other contests will be scheduled periodically throughout the weekend. Other than that, it's up to you.

We're really excited about making this next party the best ever. We'll be planning for it the next 4 months.

After UEG 5 went so well, I've gotten constant urges to work on the next event to make it better than the last. Unfortunately my summer is totally booked with travel and work that the possibilities of anything soon are mighty slim. I want to shout out my thanks again to all the hardcore gamers that pitched in to help out (hope you still enjoy the HD coolers), all our returning members and of course the first-timers. To the sponsors that dealt with this small organization among all the others out there, we appreciate you're support for the gaming community, especially this one.

Well, I think its about time to announce the date for UEG's next LAN!! The next event will be held on January 19-21, a Saturday, Sunday, Monday; different from the usual Friday weekend LAN. Monday is Martin Luthar King Jr.'s B-day so most schools are closed.

The list is complete, though not all the tournaments have prizes attached to them yet. There will be organized games without prizes; but they aren't on the tourney listing.

We've started to write all the tournaments for U.E.G.#4. Check out the new Games/Events section that is currently under construction. If you have any ideas, we'd love to hear them.

Frustrations ::

You can't imagine how much time we've been pouring into UEG#4, so you couldn't understand the frustration we felt when we realized this; we need to postpone again. Nothing serious, just a single week. Chris Norland will be away on a personal matter that just came up. Since he is a critical player in the LAN, we must postpone again. Believe me, I understand how you must feel, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Postponed ::

We have some unfortunate news, fellahs. U.E.G. is postponing the fourth event to June 29th. This is for a verity of reasons and events. For a while now we’ve been trying to find a replacement conference room for the booked Marriott hotel room. That has been an unsuccessful search; but that isn’t our only reason for the delay. We’ve also had to deal with our database server being down due to connection difficulties. This has led to a chain of confusion and frustration.

Its true, it is still possible to rush and still try to crank out a LAN Party... but it wouldn’t be of the caliber that U.E.G. has earned its reputation with. So we plan to delay and live up to our promise; to make U.E.G. LAN # 4 our best yet.

Working Hard ::

Chris and I have been working hard to get everything ready for the next LAN. There have been a few bugs with the application form, but most of them have been ironed out.

We're going to be making the next LAN our best yet, so hang with us as we fight the 'bumps' along the way.

The UEG website is re-launched, and with a new design!

We're extremely sorry to all those who have tried to access this site but were not able to get to it.  It has been a top priority concern for us and we want things to go smoothly from here on!

Our next event will still be held at the same planned time, which is May 25th through 27th
